Sagging upper eyelids, possibly combined with a genetically caused massive lid contour and sunken eyebrows, gives you an undifferentiated, stereotypical and tired look when batting your eyelids. An operation is necessary if the problem is to be removed at its roots. Here, we would again like to emphasize the connection between upper eyelid surgery and Eyebrow lifting.

If only eyelid plastic surgery is to be carried out, it should be determined if the skin of the eyelid is drooping (and sometimes lies on top of the eyelashes as an empty flap of skin), if the entire eyelid appears to be too massive (often with an uneven eyelid wrinkle) or if objectionable bumps (often on the inside of the upper eyelid) protrude from an upper lid that is otherwise slender. The same operative access route is chosen for all these irregularities. But the skin, muscle tissue and fat are reduced to a different extent.

We usually perform upper and lower eyelid plastic surgery with local anesthesia as outpatient procedures. Except for the injection of the local anesthesia, the procedure is painless and takes about one to one and a half hours.
