  • 2007 Start and direction of the multinational research network: Öffnet externen Link in neuem FensterMyJoint / tissue engineering in oral and maxillofacial surgery, that was subsidized by the European Union with more than 2 million Euro. (The researchers in Kiel managed to grow a mandible in the muscles of a patient's back and then implant it. The project MyJoint is a network of high-ranking universities and it pursues an ambitious goal and a wide-ranging medical vision: whole functioning joints should grow in the bodies of the affected patients, so that they can be individually adapted and sustainable replace bone and cartilage tissue lifelong.).

Professor Warnke has published more than 100 high-level scientific publications and is Senior Editor of the famous Mercer's Textbook of Orthopaedics and Trauma, 10th Edition.
